Michael’s experience includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex business disputes. Prior to his current role, Michael was an associate with London & Stout, the predecessor firm to London & Naor. Michael plays a key role in drafting successful motions and securing favorable settlements on behalf of the firm’s clients. Michael also conducts internal investigations for businesses and public entities involving sensitive issues and various types of misconduct, including sexual harassment, retaliation, discrimination, and embezzlement. In addition to internal investigations, Michael has also worked with businesses in responding to government investigations.
Previously, Michael was an associate at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, where he practiced complex business litigation. Michael played a key role in securing victories for clients by drafting successful dispositive motions, compelling parties to arbitration, and negotiating early settlements. Michael also regularly advised clients on compliance with state and federal regulations.
In addition to his litigation practice, Michael is committed to pro bono representation. Michael assisted in securing a legal victory for a domestic violence survivor by removing a restraining order filed by her abuser, helped an undocumented survivor of domestic violence apply for lawful permanent residency under the Violence Against Women Act, and aided asylum seekers from Guatemala and El Salvador in applying for asylum.
Michael is active in the Bay Area legal community and serves on the executive committee of the Litigation Section of the Barristers Club of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
